Rules can be changed, and that style, it's definitely the way to go, if they want to attract a new generation of fans. I've become a fan, of endurance racing in 1998. I was quite small, but the Toyota GT-One looked so fuckin' space age, that it instantly got me into endurance racing. Today's kids can't possibly remember that period.

That's about the best descriptor I've ever heard applied to the GT-One. It absolutely blew my 18 year old mind at the time, and does to this day. One of the all-time great LMPs, despite having never won.

This right here (sorry for the necro post) I was 17 in '98 and I saw my 1st endurance race and the GT-One and all the others racing just blew my mind. It was a great era.
